Doubao Work Assigns Files, Not a Paragraph
The artifact is a weekly note, a table, or minutes in a named place. Short Q&A, repo changes, and teammates that keep running on other sites belong elsewhere.
Doubao Work is office cowork: you assign a job that must produce a result, and what comes back should be a file, a table, or minutes — not another explanation. The test is the same as the general section: close the window, what is still on the desk. Chrome will change. This test will not.doubao-home
After reading, you should be able to answer:
- What kind of work belongs on Doubao Work?
- Which three kinds should you not send it?
- How does it split from Codex, WorkBuddy, and Grok Bot?
Fits: office artifacts you can check against source material
Weekly and daily notes, meeting minutes, mail drafts, decks, roll-ups from a table, sorting a batch of files by a rule. Shared traits: the object is material you already have; the result is an artifact in a named place; acceptance is opening it, or recomputing figures from detail rows. The first job is still low-risk, reversible, and must not overwrite the original. See pick the first job.
Does not fit
- Short Q&A. “Make this paragraph smoother” is a question. Use chat.
- Repo changes. Green tests, diffs, merges. See Codex.
- Work that must keep going on other people's sites after you close the lid. See Grok Bot. Repeating flows on local apps and local folders: WorkBuddy.
Company documents are an extra capability, not a switch you turn on by default. When to connect, and the bound after you do, is in company context.
